Workers’ Compensation & Personal Injury Referrals
A structured referral pathway for case managers, attorneys and clinicians seeking evaluation for selected chronic or neuropathic pain conditions.
Referral-focused communication
Professional referrals benefit from clear diagnosis, prior treatment history, current medications, relevant imaging or specialist records, functional limitations, and the specific treatment question being considered.
Medical necessity comes first
Acceptance of a referral does not mean ketamine will be recommended. The treating clinician must determine that the requested evaluation and any proposed treatment are medically appropriate.
Documentation
With appropriate authorization, the clinic can coordinate clinically relevant documentation with referring professionals. Administrative requirements, authorization and payment arrangements should be clarified before treatment.
Common referral questions
- Is the pain syndrome neuropathic or centrally mediated?
- What conventional treatments have already been tried?
- Are there contraindications or significant psychiatric/cardiovascular risks?
- What functional goals are being targeted?
